Hello... I'd like to thank everybody for being so incredibly supportive of HIRAX. Especially lately. We have been receiving email and snail mail from all over the world... places like : Parker, Colorado/ Lascruces, New Mexico/ Lebanon, Tennessee/ Lttigen, Switerland/ Tampere, Finland/ Orlando, Florida/ Las Vegas, Nevada/ San Diego, California/ Hawthorne, California/ Bryte, California/ Tours, France. I have never been so blown away in the entire history of the band. Everyday there is more and more interest in the band. Combined with all the new releases through Deep Six, now people will be able to find our records in record stores all over the world. Also, to all the fans who have written me letters saying Katon Lives...I thank you for putting a smile on my face. It makes all the hard work that we are doing totally worth it. I am honored. Before I get anymore sappy on you...I just want to let everybody know who has been asking me about our new 8song EP BARRAGE OF NOISE the record should be out hopefully by September. Touring will begin shortly after that. Touring worldwide to finally play for all of our fans who have been writing and asking for us to tour...we thank you and we'll see you soon!!

There
is a loud ‘Barrage of Noise’ coming out of southern California.
That noise that is coming your way is HIRAX.
Yes
indeed, HIRAX have just reissued the long awaited, ‘Blasted in Bangkok’ as
well as the three song EP ‘El Diablo Negro’ recorded last year, along with
the first ever released record of the infamous PHANTASM which featured the
impressive line up of legendary metal veterans.
Katon W. DePena from HIRAX does the vocal duties. On bass, one of the
founding fathers of true metal, original METALLICA bassist, Ron McGovney.
Metal Blade Records producer Bill Metoyer produced this PHANTASM six-song
demo. Let’s not forget Gene
Hoglan also known for his work with Dark Angel, Testament, Death and Strapping
Young Lads played the drums on the demo. Also armed with two very amazing,
young, guitar players Nathan Williams – 17 years old and Rodney Nicholson –
18 years old.
PHANTASM

band is currently filming a video for the song ‘Walk With Death’ which is
featured on this EP.
HIRAX is also rehearsing and gearing up for their world tour. Which is set for Fall 2001.
